Polbain is a small community next to Achiltibuie opposite the Summer Isles. It is about 24 miles by road from Ullapool, which takes about 45 minutes by car.
The nearest airport is Inverness with direct flights from London, Birmingham, Manchester, Dublin and Amsterdam among others.
Car Rental is available at Inverness airport. We strongly recommend renting a car (or driving up in your own) as it is a very remote area that is not hugely accessible by public transport.
