We love Mullagrach and so far everyone who has stayed has felt the same way. We hope our guests who wrote these comments don’t mind us copying them!

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Mullagrach. The house was so comfortable and welcoming we felt quite at home the minute we arrived, and  so impressively equipped. The views from the house are stunning and must be amongst the best on the west coast, needless to say many photographs were taken. We enjoyed the garden with the various "sit ooteries" and view points from which we could enjoy drinks etc.

Our week, in glorious sunshine, was spent walking and fishing with good catches of mackerel, which we smoked, and trout, so what with the crab, langoustine and mussels we had a very fishy holiday.

I really appreciated the Polbain stores who delivered an initial order of groceries, meat etc to us, and were so handy for topping up with bread, milk vegetables and the daily fix of newspapers for those who cannot do without…..

All in all it couldn't have been more perfect.  I wish you well with your letting venture and I am sure you will have many delighted guests. We certainly will be back.

Mullagrach is perfect. We would add nothing. It proved a fab base and most comfortable. hope to contact you for a stint next summer.

Many thanks ......... for the use of Mullagrach. We had a wonderful time, despite the rather disappointing weather, and found plenty to do. We all enjoyed staying in the house, which was beautifully appointed and ideal for our family. No relevant feedback at all, really (other than the fact that your excellent walk recommendations took us considerably longer than your estimates!).

Many thanks for giving us the use of your home in Polbain last week. We really enjoyed the break, which was made all the more pleasurable by the comfort and views from Mullagrach.  Andy did us proud by supplying scallops, mussels, langoustine and lobster.... delicious, as was our rib roast done in the Aga!

Just to let you know we had a super week at Mullagrach. We just got back from Scotland at the weekend, having spent some time on Skye and then in Oban. The cottage was very comfortable, very well provided and the views just magnificent. All the children enjoyed playing in the garden- they pretended they were Heidi and managing a herd of goats!! We all racked our brains to think of anything that was lacking in the cottage (given you’d asked for feedback) and the only thing we came up with was coat-hangers- all the wardrobes could do with more! [we have since stocked up so this shouldn’t be a problem any more]

During our stay we managed to get up Stac Pollaidh with our 4 and 6 year olds and also walked to the falls of Kirkaig, as well as spells on the beach at Achnahaird and Achmelvich. We took a drive up the coast to Kinlochbervie and a boat trip out to the Summer Isles. We enjoyed returning to the cottage in the evenings and cooking dinner on the Aga and just savouring the changing view from the window over a nice glass of red wine!

Overall we all had a great time on holiday. Things we especially liked are:

* There is a very homely feel to the house. We all felt very much at home and relaxed very quickly.

* It was great to have the study with access to all the different books

* The views were stunning.

* The decking area in the back garden was great to sit out on and take in the views.

* It was good to sit around the dining table and play cards and chat.

* There was plenty of space for us all.

* The music selection on the iPod was excellent. Something for everyone.

I too would like to say how much my husband and I appreciated the comforts and spectacular location of Mullagrach. We certainly hope we shall be returning for further splendid holidays.

We were disappointed that there was no vistors’ book as we would have liked to record our appreciation. I should like to know how the blackbird is faring after gorging on cherries daily out of my hand and trust that other visitors will maintain his healthy lifestyle!! [we do now have a visitors’ book and hope it will be used!]

I had meant to send you a card to say thank you very much for such a lovely week, but as usual at the moment with three small children, a lot of jobs are getting overlooked! We had an absolutely fabulous time and thought the house was fantastic. Only a smattering of midge-bites too! We'd love to come back again (if you'll have us!) so may well be in touch again soon.

Thank you for providing us with such a lovely holiday let - so tasteful, comfortable and well-stocked!  Weather not great while we were there but we still enjoyed ourselves - and Mullagrach made it all the more a happier, carefree break.

We are thrilled to be going back.  Sometimes you know instantly that a place is special and you will carry a bit of it with you

We really enjoyed our holiday + are already thinking about returning to Achiltibuie next year to do all the things we ran out of time for this summer!!  We loved your house - the views are stunning + I honestly think you have thought of everything possible in relation to self catering guests! It is extremely well 'kitted out' which made it a more relaxed holiday for me in particular! a smile to your face and a lift of the spirit.

We had 3 varied days with the weather being kind at the right times. Our friends loved the house and we had happy meals in the room with a view. I got up early and sat watching the sea change colour and the hills clearing in all their variety. Thank you again and I hope that we will return.

Mullagrach was wonderful for us, very comfortable, well equipped and plenty of room for us to spread around - although I spent most of my indoor time in the dining room enjoying the stunning view!

We had great weather (by slightly changeable west coast standards) and had the extra pleasure of seeing the tall ships on their way in to Ullapool.

We'll certainly think of returning another year.

.....what can i say......we have had such a wonderful time in your lovely Highland home......it is so attractively decorated and of very good, tasteful quality..........such a delight to have been so cosy and comfortable in ...you have indeed thought of everything...down to the last detail....ie even that super garlic crusher!........It has been such a delight, so snug, easy to run and just everything one could possibly require ! Thank you so much from all 7 of us.....it has been so revitalising.......I certainly was ready for such a refreshing break........and to drink in the constantly changing beauty of mountains, sea, islands and sky……

Meant to be in touch sooner to let you know how much we appreciated your lovely house.   It was perfect for the our three generation holiday.   The weather could have been better but we managed to walk, cycle and visit the beach and the wind was perfect for kite flying.

The house was so perfectly equipped … ....   The grandchildren loved watching the birds come in to feed.

We did not get to appreciate the garden fully but it was beautiful.

Mullagrach is a spacious, very comfortable and exceptionally well equipped house with beautiful views over the Summer Isles and beyond. The owner has furnished the home to a high standard. It was lovely to be able to enjoy the artwork throughout the house and the books in the study. Cooking in the spacious kitchen was also a pleasure. Although the weather was kind to us and we were out and about a good deal this is the kind of house which would make a week of rain quite bearable!! The local Piping School Cafe and seafood restaurant SALT are well worth a visit.

Casa meravigliosa , equipaggiata di tutto ciò che serve è anche di più .... soggiorno meraviglioso nelle highland del nord

Arrangements to stay were easy and the house was perfect - well kitted out and very comfortable. We had everything we needed for our short stay and felt very much at home. Above all the location overlooking the Summer Isles is absolutely stunning and the sunsets are amazing. 100% recommended.

Just an amazing location. Quality, warm house. Highly recommended. Just don't tell anyone else!

Mullagrach is simply perfect. Christopher is very well organized and extremely helpful, providing all the information you need for your stay and there are several guide books in the house as well. The house is beautiful by itself, but then offers some of the most stunning views you could ever hope for. It is set up with some wonderful amenities that made our stay just that much nicer. And there is an Aga, which I hadn't heard of before, but fell in love with. In short: this is the first time I wish I could give a bonus star

I travelled to Achiltibuie with a group of friend including a 3 year old boy. And we just didn't want to leave this place... If we would have known, we would have stayed in Chris's house for our entire week of holidays! The view on the summer isles is amazing, the house is just perfect and the area has a lot to offer for nature lovers. The perfect place for relaxing holidays! We'll be back!

We had a phenomenal 14 days in ideal conditions. The house was beautiful The location stunning. Paradise on earth

Everything about this trip was wonderful. The booking was confirmed within minutes and communication with Christopher was thorough. Mullagrach was perfect for the eight of us. The house is beautiful and the views are just incredible - better than the listing photos. Walks in the area are great with views no matter where you look. The kitchen has everything you need for a big group and we cooked every night except one when we went to the Fuaran Bar where the food was fantastic. We left a bag with games in the house after we left and Christopher was more than helpful in returning it to us. We'd all love to go back as soon as possible.

The House is fantastically located, with an amazing view. You feel really at home, in a warm and very comfortable environment, with everything you could possibly need or dream of. Christopher and Lorna are very welcoming. We highly recommend Mullagrach and would be delighted to come back.

My family (wife and two young girls) and I we’re looking to spend the end of our three week holiday, relaxing in a remote part of Scotland – and I wanted somewhere with a view! Mullagrach in Achiltibuie was perfect. Christopher got in touch ahead of our stay and gave us some great ideas about what we could do in the area, the best local shops and restaurants etc. Pulling back the curtains in Mullagrach every morning to see the picture postcard view of the Summer Isles archipelago is a memory we’ll never forget. The home is really cosy, and very well equipped. … … There is also a great selection of DVDs and music and the home had unlimited fast Wi-Fi and bicycles to borrow. Alchitibue is very picturesque and is surrounded by stunning scenery, the mountains of the Coigach peninsula are unique, nothing like I’d seen in Scotland before and inspired me to borrow a walking stick from the house and sneak off one morning a try a bit of hill walking - climbing up the popular Stac Polly for some spectacular views. Do take the time to climb up the hill behind the house for some sweeping views of both the Summer Isles, Achiltibue and the Coigach mountains. Also recommended is to book in for dinner at ‘Am Fuaran Bar’, 5 mins from the house for some great local food. There was some local music on at the Achiltibuie community hall one evening while we we’re there, which was excellent. We never really knew about the area before we visited and feel like we discovered a very special part of Scotland, Mullagrach and it’s location is spectacular, I’m quite sure we’ll be back at some point ;-)
